newark ymCA
birthday club
Provide birthday celebrations and special events for the youth and families residing at the Newark Y (Emergency Residence Program) in a manner that exemplifies the Love of God regardless of religious affiliation or background. We do this to follow the example that Christ left us to care for those in need with compassion and thoughtfulness, without exclusion.

COVENANT HOUSE
Covenant House offers support to youth experiencing homelessness and human trafficking survivors. Volunteers can choose three different ways to serve at three different locations.
​
Serving at Covenant House - Newark is an opportunity for 4 people to serve brunch from 10am-11am on Saturdays.
​
Serving at Covenant House - Montclair is an opportunity to provide dinner for 8 teenagers, any night of the week.
​
Serving at Covenant House - Elizabeth is an opportunity to meet specific needs for mothers and their babies, such as babysitting, providing donations for babies, and offering educational services for mothers.​
LIGHTHOUSE PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER / YOUNG LIFE TEEN MOM GROUP
+Life Local in partnership with Lighthouse will host select Young Life Teen Mom Group events that occur every second Saturday of the month from 12:30-2:30. Here we will prepare crafts, share a meal, and share a faith-inspired message with young moms ranging from 13 to 20 years of age. There are lots of ways and opportunities to serve on this team.

CHristine's Kitchen
Christine’s Kitchen is one of our long-time +Life Local partners that provides a weekly free lunch program for West Orange residents in need through Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. While this ministry has been on a brief pause, we can’t wait to get back to serving those in need in our community in just a couple of weeks, and we invite you to be a part of spreading God’s love in ever-widening circles. Volunteers will help prepare and package the meals which are then distributed for take-away, and hand out hot coffee, tea, and cocoa for those waiting in line.
